Eligibility Checklist for Employment Support under NDIS

1. Age Requirement:

The applicant must be under 65 years old at the time of application.

2. Residency Requirement:

The applicant must have a permanent and significant disability that impacts the ability to gain or maintain employment.

4. Functional Impact:

The disability must substantially reduce the individual’s functional capacity to perform work-related tasks without support.

5. Need for Employment Support:

The applicant must demonstrate the need for support in finding, securing, or retaining employment. This includes job coaching, workplace modifications, and support in career planning.

Documentation Required

Medical Evidence:

Reports from healthcare professionals detailing the nature and impact of the disability.

Support Plan:

An NDIS plan or other formal support plan including employment support needs.
